For the treatment of primary and secondary infections caused by Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria sensitive to benzylpenicillin and dihydrostreptomycin, accompanied by chronic and acute processes of inflammation.

Penicillin G Benzathine 100,000 I.U.
Procaine Penicillin G 100,000 I.U.
Dihydrostreptomycin sulfate 105 mg
Piroxicam 10 mg
Vehicle c.b.p. 1 ml
Penicillins act against Gram positive bacteria and streptomycin, for its part, acts against Gram negative bacteria, the former act by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial wall and the latter inhibiting protein synthesis at the 30’s ribosomal subunit, both have a bactericidal effect. .
The mechanism of action exerted by penicillin is to block the assimilation of essential proteins for the growth and reproduction of the bacterial cell. They inhibit the transpeptidation of the wall by preventing the polymeric binding of Park nucleotides, blocking 2 enzymes (transpeptidase and carboxypeptidase) and preventing the generation of the wall and the acceleration of its autolysis. Bacteria have a pressure of 5-15 atmospheres higher than that of the medium that contains them and therefore the bacteria explode.
Streptomycin, for its part, inserts itself into a specific P-10 protein on the 30’s ribosomal subunit, where protein synthesis is inhibited and the fidelity of the genetic code translation decreases.
Piroxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic, from the oxicam group, which acts by preventing the synthesis of prostaglandins and other prostanoids, through the competitive and reversible inhibition of cyclooxygenase. It is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and is 98% protein bound.
