Baytril Injection 10% is indicated in cattle for:
• Respiratory infections caused by:
Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida (shipping fever, pneumonic pasteurellosis).
• Digestive infections caused by:
Escherichia Coli, Salmonella spp.
• Infections of the genitourinary system caused by:
E. coli, Corynebacterium spp., Mycoplasmas spp., Ureaplasmas spp.
• Septicemic infections caused by:
Salmonella spp., Listeria monocytogenes, E. coli, Haemophilus somnus.
• Purulent infections (gabarro, abscesses) caused by:
Fusobacterium necrophorum, E. coli, Pseudomonas spp., Bacteroides melaninogenicus, Proteus spp., Staphylococcus aureus.
Contraindications
Do not administer volumes greater than 10 ml in the same application site.

Baytril Injectable 10% has magnificent characteristics in terms of spectrum, diffusion, action and efficacy. The 10% presentation allows the medication of heavy animals (such as cattle) with adequate application volumes.
Baytril Injectable 10% combats the main bacterial agents that cause disease in cattle.
Gram negative:
Actinobacillus ligneriesii. Bacteroides melaninogenicus. Fusobacterium necrophorum. Escherichia Coli. Haemophilus somnus. Pasteurella multocida. Pasteurella haemolytica. Salmonella spp. Pseudomonas spp. Proteus spp. Anaplasma marginale.
Gram-positive:
Actinomyces (Corynebacterium) pyogenes. Corynebacterium spp. Listeria monocytogenes. Staphylococcus aureus. Streptococcus zooepidemicus. Clostridium perfringens.
Mycoplasmas:
Mycoplasma bovis. Mycoplasma bovigenitalium. Ureaplasma spp.

25 ml bottle.
Route of administration:
The route of administration is subcutaneous, intramuscular or intravenous.
It can be applied intrauterine by diluting 5 ml of Baytril Injection 10% in 80 to 100 ml of sterile distilled water or sterile physiological saline.
The intramammary route to treat mastitis is not recommended, because it can cause irritation (even diluted).
Due to the excellent diffusion that Baytril Injectable 10% has, the parenteral route is indicated for this type of infection.
Dose:
The routine dosage of Baytril Injection 10% corresponds to the use of 2.5 mg of active substance per kg of body weight, which is equivalent to 1 ml of Baytril Injection 10% per 40 kg of body weight.
The optimal dosing interval is 24 hours.
As is usual in antimicrobial therapy with other antibiotics, it is recommended in severe cases to initiate shock therapy applying 1 ml per 20 kg of weight (5 mg).
