A homogeneous, clear solution from light yellow to light brown.

Composition

1 ml contains the active ingredient:

enrofloxacin – 50 mg/ml

Excipients: up to 1 ml.

Pharmacological properties

The active ingredient of the drug – enrofloxacin, belongs to the fluoroquinolone group of antibiotics and has a broad spectrum of activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Its mechanism of action is based on the inhibition of bacterial gyrase enzyme, leading to disruption of bacterial DNA replication.

Enrofloxacin exhibits bactericidal activity against the following microorganisms: E. coli, Pseudomonas spp., Salmonella spp., Campylobacter spp., Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Bordetella spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp., Clostridium perfringens, Actinobacillus spp., Fusobacterium spp., Enterococcus spp. and others, as well as the detrimental effect on mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma spp.) and chlamydia (Chlamydia spp.).

After parenteral administration of enrofloxacin rapidly and completely absorbed due to high bioavailability. Its maximum concentration is reached after an average of 6 hours. Therapeutic concentration is maintained within 2 days. Enrofloxacin partially metabolized in the liver and excreted in the urine and bile.

Enrofloxacin has a high level of distribution. Thus, the concentration in the tissues and organs is usually higher than in serum. The bodies, which can be observed the highest concentration – the lungs, liver, kidneys, intestines.

The half-life depending on the type of animal is 2-7 hours.

Usage

Noroflox ➫ analog Baytril for Cattle: treatment of diseases of the alimentary canal and respiratory system caused by organisms susceptible to enrofloxacin (colibacillosis, septicemia, pasteurellosis, salmonellosis, staphylococcus, mycoplasmosis), secondary bacterial infections in viral diseases.

Noroflox ➫ analog Baytril for Sheep, goats: treatment of digestive tract and respiratory system caused by organisms susceptible to enrofloxacin (pasteurellosis, kolibatsyloz, klostrydioz, gangrenous mastitis and acute, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis).

Noroflox ➫ analog Baytril for Pigs: treatment of diseases of the alimentary canal and respiratory system caused by organisms susceptible to enrofloxacin (pasteurellosis, enzootic pneumonia, bacterial pneumonia, colibacillosis, septicemia, salmonellosis, MMA syndrome, atrophic rhinitis).

Noroflox ➫ analog Baytril for Dogs: treatment of digestive tract, respiratory system, urinary system, hearing, and sepsis, wound infections caused by organisms susceptible to enrofloxacin.

Dosage Noroflox ( analog Baytril for)

Cattle, sheep, goats drug is administered intravenously or subcutaneously to pigs – intramuscularly at a dose of 1 ml per 20 kg body weight (2.5 mg enrofloxacin per 1 kg of body weight) once a day. For the treatment of animals, frequent respiratory infections and salmonellosis dose increased twice. The course of treatment is 3 days in salmonellosis – 5 days, with MMA syndrome in pigs – 1-2 days. Dogs drug is administered subcutaneously at a dose of 1 ml per 10 kg body weight (5 mg enrofloxacin per 1 kg of body weight) once daily for 5-10 days.

Contraindications

Do not administer to animals with hypersensitivity to enrofloxacin.

Do not use to treat dogs of small breeds under 12 months of age, dogs of large breeds up to 18 months of age, pregnant during lactation due to the negative effect on the formation of cartilage.

Do not use concurrently with antibiotics tetracycline, chloramphenicol, cyclosporine and macrolides due to the possibility of occurrence of toxicity.

Warning

Drugs from the group of quinolones should be used with caution in animals with CNS disorders.

If dose-volume exceeds 10 ml for cattle, 5 ml for sheep and goats and 2.5 ml for lambs, goats, and pigs, it must be divided and put into different areas.

The slaughter of animals for meat is allowed within 10 days after the last administration of the drug. Consumption of milk cows and goats in the food people are allowed respectively in 7 and 5 days after the last administration of the drug. Received by the deadline meat and milk or dispose of unproductive animals are fed, according to a doctor of veterinary medicine.
