Vetera Gold XP

Vetera Gold XP by Boehringer Ingelheim is a vaccine used in the prevention of EIV, EHV (EHV-1 and EHV-4), Eastern & Western Encephalomyelitis, West Nile Virus, Tetanus. Duration of immunity is at least 6 months against equine influenza and 12 months against WNV.

This vaccine is intended for healthy horses, ages 4 months and older. Vetera Gold XP is safe for pregnant mares. Vetera Gold comes in single dose and in ten dose vials.

Prior to injecting, properly cleanse injection site using the antiseptic technique. Give 1mL intramuscularly. Give a second 1mL dose intramuscularly 3-4 weeks after the initial injection, in a different injection site. Vaccinate again every year with a single 1mL dose, or prior to suspected exposure. Shake well before use.

Always consult your veterinarian before beginning a vaccination plan. As with most medications, side effects are possible. A temporary reaction at the injection site is the most common side effect.

Follow instructions carefully. DO NOT FREEZE. Shake well before use. Store away from light at 35-45 degrees. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter.
